This was my latest 100 yen shop find.
The 100 yen shop is a great place to find many a cool tool that you never needed but could always use.
The guy/ or girl that came up with the idea to use this one as a door stop must really have been short of an idea; still its funny.
* on the back of the package it says its not intended as a door stop so they take no responsibility for accident or injury as a result of using it as one… hmmmm, way to have faith in your product.

When you live in the Japanese countryside something that will often happen is a neighbour or a friend will give you a load of something, be it carrots, radishes, watermelons or in this case mikan ( mandarins). last month we were lucky enough to receive 30kg of mikan at our door from some extended family.
So for more than a month we had fresh Mikan juice every morning and another one or two during the day. Didn’t turn yellow, but I think we got our fair share of vitamin C.

One of my favorite ways to travel in Japan is by Ferry…Sure it may take a few extra hours. But you can usually walk around on the ferry, get hox/ fresh food, watch TV, catch up on Emails etc… and like a lot of people seem to do catch up on sleep.

We had a great weekend the other week. Spent the day at a local festival in a shrine a short drive from out house. It was great. Guys running around with Sake bottles and handing out free beer…. One of those things I love about Japan. Drinking in public, its great.
All in all a fun day.

A shot of a bird scarer over a rice field that is ready to be harvested. Taken during a little walk around our new local area in Takuma, Kagawa.

Some new designs are afoot in the deeiy studio. This is the 8Invader t-shirt, purple and blue on white. Once the final design hits the online shop we will also have couple of new colorways to mix it up a bit.

Continuing on the topic of watches. I looked at my trusty nixon the other day, only to realize that the time was 11:00 funny, when it was actually about 5pm. ***Problem*** I had flat batteries in both my Nixon Player and Rocker. So I delved into the sock draw and dragged out my oldscool 80’s beaten up pulsar, a hand-me-down from my dad way back in high school. I figured I’d wear it for a few days and then get the battery changed in my Nixon(s), but it has grow in me and I think I’ll keep wearing it for a while.

Im not a big watch finatic, but I am a fan of Nixon watches. Some of the sweetest designs out and they are always coming up with amazing designs and new colorways. The latest offering from, ‘The Rubber Player’ is no excepetion, taking the classic ‘player’ and mixing it up with a rubber body in solid bold single colors. I got my old school player when they first came out but there have been a few additions to the family since and this one is going to be pretty popular.
